A middle aged man, identified as Saheed Olabomi, has been allegedly shot by a Police Officer inOsogbo, the Osun State capital.
PRIMACY NEWS gathered that he incident gathered, occurred around 5pm
on Tuesday at the popular Oke Onitea Junction in the metropolis.
It gathered that the victim, who is an Okada Rider, was reportedly rushed to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital for treatment.
An eyewitness, Mustapha Asiru, said the incident happened as a result of crisis between the police Officers and some tipper driver when the Police Officers started shooting and a bullet hit Olabomi.
The eyewitness alleged that after shooting the victim, there was a traffic jam at the area but the police destroyed some facilities and reversed
to make their way.
According to him, “Saheed was hit on his cheek and
was on the floor for several minutes before we brought him to LAUTECH (UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, may God make him survive the shot” he prayed.
Following the development, Commercial motorcycle riders mobilized to the streets of Osogbo, burning tyres, in protest by blocking the Lame Of/Stadium Axis of the Ring Road.
It was also gathered that the Policemen who are men of the Police Mobile Force also shot at a Toyota Camry on because it had no registration number
