A 43-year old woman, Mrs. Mary Shallon William, has been docked before an Ogba Magistrate Court in Lagos, for inflicting cutlass injuries on an 8-year old boy.

It was gathered that the incident happened at House 4, Bagoda Phase 11, Jesus Court in Igberogbe, Ikorodu area of Lagos State, where the victim and the Suspect resides.

It was alleged that the boy bled profusely and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where he is being treated over injuries sustained from the several cutlass cuts by the Suspect.

The matter was reported to the Police and she was arrested who subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for assault.

The prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asked the Court to give a date for
hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police open its case against the suspect.

Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A. O. Ajibade, granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like Sum.

She was, however, taken into custody of the remanded in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri, Lagos,
pending when she will be able to perfect her bail conditions.

The matter was adjourned to 7th September, 2021.
