A stray cow has killed a 2-month-old baby in Ebrumede Community in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to reports, mother of the deceased baby narrowly escaped death from the stray cow but sustained serious injuries in the process.

It was gathered that the mother was standing by the side of the road with her baby when the cow strayed and ran into her and the baby, leaving the baby dead.

Herdsmen reportedly fled the vicinity for fear of being attacked and possibly killed by residents of the area.

Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the report.
