An Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ibadan, has remanded one 30-year-old Abubakar Usman for alleged one count charge of murder of three siblings.
The Defendant was alleged to have on January 13 at 5.00 p.m., at Oke-Orogun area of Saki, Oyo State, killed the siblings; 13-year-old Abdullahi Abdulkadri, 11-year-old Ismail Abdulkadri and 30-year-old Bello Abdulkadri with a cutlass which he used in inflicting cuts all over their bodies.
The offence, according to the prosecutor, Sgt. Philips Amusan, contravenes Section 316 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000 and punishable under Section 319 of the law.
Presiding Magistrate, Abimbola Amole-Ajimoti, consequently remanded Usman at the Abolongo Correctional Centre, Oyo, and referred the matter to the Oyo State Director of Public Prosecutions(DPP), for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned to March 15, 2022 for mention.
