An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, has remanded one 28-year-old technician, Pope Ogala, in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl.
The defendant who is a brother-in-law to the victim was alleged to have defiled the little girl in 2015 and later repeated same in Nov. 20, 2021, in his residence at Ishawo Road, Ikorodu, Lagos.
The offence, according to the Prosecution led by ASP, Victor Eruada, violates Section 260 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Presiding Magistrate, M.O. Tanimola, consequently made the remand order and directed that the case file be duplicated and forwarded to the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice and adjourned the matter to 12th February 2022 for mention.
