The Anambra State Election Petitions Tribunal has struck out the petition filed by candidate of the Accord Party, Dr. Godwin Maduka.
The Tribunal Chaired by Hon. Justice B. Mohammed, with Hon. Justice Edem Akpan and Hon. Justice O.H. Oyajimi as menbers, accordingly struck out the petition, after the petirioner indicated his interest to discontinue with the petition he filed against Prof. Charlse Chukwuma Soludo of the APGA.
In another development, the tribunal has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to allow both Soludo and Uba to inspect the election materials in the company of the police and the Department of State Services (DSS).
The Tribunal made the order following application by Counsel to Soludo and INEC, Mr. S.I Ezeokenwa who prayed the tribunal to allow joint inspection of the election materials.
