Unknown gunmen have sniffed life out of Dr. Chike Akunyili, husband of the late Prof. Dora Akunyili, former Director General of the NAFDAC.
Sources say, the incident occured on Tuesday evening when Dr. Chike was returning home from a memorial lecture organized by the Alumni Association of the University of Nigeria, Onitsha, branch, in honour of his late wife, Prof. Dora Akunyili who died seven years ago.
It was gathered that the late Dr. Akunyili was ambushed at Idemili North Area of Anambra State where they opened fired on his vehicle, killing him, his Police Orderly and his driver.
