Suspected bandits have reportedly kidnapped the traditional ruler of Jaba, the Kpop Ham of Jaba Chiefdom in Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Jonathan Danladi Gyet Maude.
Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, ASP Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the abduction of the 80 years old first class traditional ruler who was allegedly abducted at his farm around Panda in Nasarawa State.
The development comes two weeks after Alhaji Alhassan Adamu, Emir of Kajuru in Kaduna, was abducted.
The monarch was released after 24 hours while the kidnappers are demanding the sum of N200 million as rensom for the 13 members of his family are still in the kidnapper’s custody.
Brother to the monarch, Anthony Maude, confirmed the incident on Monday, even as the Kaduna State government and security authorities in the state have not confirmed the incident.
