The crisis rocking the Edo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC), has taken a new twist as the Governor, Mr. Godwin Enogheghase Obaseki has resigned his membership of the party. The Governor announced his resignation from the party after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The Governor’s position may not be unconnected with the protracted political war between him and his predecessor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who is the national chairman of the APC as well as the Governor’s recent disqualification to run for a second term in office as Governor of Edo State.
